The traditional beret is simply never out of trend

Since its birth 175 years ago, the image of France has never been so widespread through clothing than via these skillfully crafted accessories. French manufacturer Laulhère perpetuates the forever-returning trend with its stylish berets.

When one thinks of the beret he or she might think of the noble country France, its rich history, and its glamour. During the French beret’s limelight, Mister Lucien Laulhère’s vision was for women and men, of all ages, statuses, and genders to be Parisian chic and simply fabulous. Without a doubt, he has achieved that dream. Today, places all over Asia, South America, and Europe have adopted this unique accessory.

Massively popularized in the 1920’ s-1930’s, the beret was originally for the Basque people to protect themselves against the heat and sun. Later on, it was used to confuse identification during the war. Hand-woven with pure Merino virgin wool, Laulhère’s berets gives real meaning to “one of a kind.” With each fiber seamlessly knitted, Laulhère created a way to wear dignity, pride, and everlasting patriotism for France.

Constantly being reinvented, this garment is a force to be reckoned with in every era. Woman and men can wear this item for all occasions and look dashingly sophisticated without too much effort. Laulhère provides a wide variety of palettes to choose from, as well as buttons and ribbons to adorn. Each beret caresses all head sizes for the perfect universal fit. For woman, styles include wearing it on top of the head like an entitled crown, slanted down the face for a mysterious elegance, or backwards for a cool chic look. It can be worn with summer dresses or big winter coats, in other words versatile no matter the season, year, or decade.

Looking like a chivalrous French woman has never been so easy. This iconic hallmark will forever stay in the past, present, and future of French history.

Laulhère’s berets are trendy, but antique, items that will continuously illuminate French culture and traditions. In a few words, to be a Parisian one must look like one too.
